Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Clerk to join our bustling operations in Stonebridge, Saskatoon. This pivotal full-time role is essential for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming shipments are processed accurately and swiftly. As a Warehouse Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for new inventory, responsible for verifying deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and preparing them for storage or distribution. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for discrepancies, damages, and quality issues.
  • Verify received goods against purchase orders, packing lists, and other relevant documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Accurately record incoming inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS) or inventory software.
  • Tag and label products with appropriate identification, ensuring proper placement and organization within the warehouse.
  • Operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, purchasing, and quality control departments to resolve any receiving issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Assist in cycle counting and physical inventory processes as required.
  • Prepare and stage products for outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers and delivery personnel regarding incoming freight.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse receiving or inventory control role.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems or ERP software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in a warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid forklift operator certification (reach truck, counterbalance).
  • Experience with SAP or a similar advanced WMS.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving best practices.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for minor equipment troubleshooting.
