Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor – Inventory & Dispatch to lead our operations in Corstorphine, Edinburgh. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of our warehouse, focusing on the meticulous management of inventory and the efficient dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for ensuring that all stock is accurately recorded, stored, and retrieved, and that outbound shipments meet stringent deadlines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels using WMS, conducting regular cycle counts and stock audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods, coordinating with transport and logistics partners.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Prepare operational reports on inventory accuracy, dispatch performance, and team productivity.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively, minimising disruptions to workflow.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, sales) to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage logistics and dispatch processes efficiently.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certification in logistics or supply chain management.
- Experience with lean warehousing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
