This pivotal role is essential to maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations, ensuring that goods flow smoothly from receipt to dispatch. You will be at the heart of our supply chain, responsible for the careful handling, sorting, and movement of inventory within the facility.
As a Warehouse Tote Handler, you will contribute directly to our operational excellence by ensuring that all totes and packages are processed correctly and promptly. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload trucks, pallets, and other containers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Accurately sort, label, and store inventory items in designated warehouse locations.
- Inspect totes and packages for damage or discrepancies, reporting issues to supervisors promptly.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all company policies and safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification processes as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure daily operational goals are met or exceeded.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling items.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic communication skills (reading, writing, and understanding instructions in English).
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labour environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or RF scanners.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
