The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) is actively seeking a talented and dedicated Website Content Editor to join our dynamic team on a full-time, remote basis. As our Remote Website Content Editor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of digital content – from conceptualization and creation to editing, optimization, and publishing. You will work closely with various departments, including investment promotion, marketing, and corporate communications, to translate complex information into engaging, accessible, and SEO-friendly web content. This includes news articles, press releases, investment guides, success stories, policy updates, and much more. Your expertise will ensure brand consistency, grammatical accuracy, factual precision, and adherence to LNDC’s strategic messaging across all web pages. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit high-quality, engaging content for the LNDC website, including articles, news, reports, and promotional materials.
- Ensure all website content is accurate, consistent in tone and style, and adheres to LNDC's brand guidelines.
- Optimize web content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and organic traffic, including keyword research and meta-data optimization.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, communications, investment promotion teams) to gather information and align content strategy with organizational goals.
- Manage the content publishing process using a Content Management System (CMS), including uploading, formatting, and scheduling content.
- Conduct regular content audits to identify outdated or underperforming content and propose improvements or updates.
- Proofread and fact-check all content rigorously to eliminate errors and maintain a high standard of quality.
- Stay informed about industry best practices in content creation, SEO, and digital marketing trends.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Content Editor, Web Editor, or similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience in applying them to web content.
- Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Strong research skills to ensure factual accuracy and credibility of content.
