Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of care professionals during weekend shifts.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans and CQC regulations.
  • Conduct regular spot checks and quality audits to maintain excellent service standards.
  • Assist with care plan reviews, updates, and risk assessments as required.
  • Manage weekend rotas, address staffing issues, and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Provide on-call support and respond effectively to emergency situations or challenging circumstances.
  • Liaise professionally with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and administrative documentation.
  • Promote a positive and supportive working environment, encouraging continuous professional development.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a supervisory or leadership role within the care sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and social care standards and CQC regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in IT, including care management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations calmly and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Full UK Driving License and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
  • Current First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Experience with specific care needs, such as dementia care, palliative care, or learning disabilities.
  • Local knowledge of the Hounslow area.
