Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Clean kitchen equipment, countertops, floors, and storage areas according to established sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal appropriately.
- Support the culinary team during service by ensuring workstations are stocked and tidy.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles.
- Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management to ensure smooth operation.
