As a Wildfire Fighter, you will be on the front lines, responding to and suppressing wildfires across diverse terrains. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all required wildfire suppression training programs and drills.
  • Respond rapidly and effectively to wildfire incidents as part of a designated crew.
  • Engage in direct fire suppression activities using hand tools, power tools, and water delivery systems.
  • Construct and maintain fire breaks and other fuel reduction measures.
  • Operate and maintain specialized firefighting equipment and vehicles safely.
  • Conduct patrols and monitor fire behavior and weather conditions.
  • Assist in mop-up and rehabilitation efforts post-fire suppression.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and incident command system guidelines.
  • Maintain high levels of physical fitness and readiness for deployment.
  • Collaborate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and other emergency personnel.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional physical fitness and stamina

  • Valid Class G driver's license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Experience with outdoor manual labor or physically demanding jobs
  • Basic knowledge of fire science or forestry principles
