Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and innovative Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team in Midtown, Paducah. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing highly scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a crucial part in shaping our cloud strategy, driving technological innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects across various cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
This position requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, architectural best practices, and a proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. You will work closely with development teams, operations, and business stakeholders to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, high-availability, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure and applications on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams on cloud-native patterns and best practices.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and services, recommending optimal solutions to meet business needs and technical requirements.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into all cloud solutions, including data encryption, access control, and network security.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost-efficiency, performance, and scalability.
- Lead the migration of existing on-premise applications to cloud environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and deliver robust cloud solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud environment issues and provide expert-level support.
- Develop and enforce cloud governance policies and compliance standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar senior cloud engineering role.
- Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including IaaS, PaaS, and FaaS offerings.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPNs, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls) in a cloud context.
- Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Multiple professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and machine learning in the cloud.
- Experience in hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR).
