Job Description

Career.zycto is excited to partner with a leading facilities management client in Glasgow to recruit a highly skilled and safety-conscious Window Cleaner specializing in building and high-rise structures. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to join a dynamic team, dedicated to maintaining the pristine appearance and structural integrity of some of Glasgow’s most iconic buildings. You will be responsible for delivering top-tier cleaning services for commercial and residential properties, often at significant heights, using various access methods including traditional ladder work, water-fed poles, cherry pickers, cradles, and abseiling techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-rise window cleaning duties safely and efficiently using appropriate access equipment (rope access, cradles, cherry pickers, water-fed poles).
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety plans.
  • Inspect equipment regularly for defects and report any issues promptly to management.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail on all surfaces.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Engage with clients and the public professionally and courteously.
  • Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within agreed schedules.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of professional window cleaning experience, with significant high-rise exposure.
  • Proven experience with various access methods including rope access (abseiling), MEWPs (cherry pickers), and cradle systems.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to work at heights for extended periods.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IRATA Level 1 (or higher) Rope Access Technician certification.
  • IPAF / PASMA certification.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Relevant NVQ or equivalent qualification in cleaning or facilities services.
