Mazars is seeking a dedicated Work from Home Audit Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team, based remotely within the Leeds, England area. As an Audit Operations Specialist, you will be instrumental in the backbone of our audit delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain audit documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to firm standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the setup and ongoing management of audit engagement files, both physical and digital.
- Perform data entry, verification, and reconciliation tasks to ensure data integrity within audit systems.
- Assist with the coordination of audit fieldwork logistics and resource allocation where necessary.
- Monitor and report on key operational metrics related to audit workflows and timelines.
- Act as a point of contact for audit teams regarding operational queries and support needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of new operational efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external audit standards.
- Utilise various internal software and tools to support audit operations, including document management systems and project tracking tools.
- Collaborate effectively with audit managers, partners, and other support functions across various locations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) in an operational support role, preferably within an accounting, audit, or financial services environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong self-motivation in a remote work setting.
- A keen understanding of data management principles and confidentiality requirements.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or professional qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., AAT, ACCA foundation level).
- Experience with audit software (e.g., CaseWare, ProAudit) or other financial management systems.
- Knowledge of audit methodologies and compliance frameworks.
