PA Consulting Group is seeking a talented and motivated Work from Home Insights Analyst to join our dynamic team, based out of the Oxshott, Surrey area. As an Insights Analyst, you will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence. You’ll work closely with project teams and clients to understand their challenges, design robust analytical approaches, and present compelling findings that influence strategy and achieve measurable outcomes. Your day-to-day will involve everything from data collection and cleansing to complex statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and the creation of visually impactful reports and dashboards. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in SQL, Python or R, and business intelligence tools to deliver high-quality analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources to ensure data integrity and readiness for analysis.
  • Perform in-depth statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and data mining to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualise key metrics and findings.
  • Translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and compelling presentations and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers and client teams to define analytical requirements and align on project objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to provide strategic context to data insights.
  • Support the development of data-driven strategies and solutions that address client business challenges.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, new analytical techniques, and emerging technologies in data science and business intelligence.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and skill development within the analytics practice.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or insights role.
  • Proven expertise in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one analytical programming language (Python or R).
  • Demonstrable experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
  • Previous experience working in a consultancy environment or on multiple client projects.
  • Knowledge of specific industry sectors relevant to PA Consulting's client base (e.g., Public Sector, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services).
  • Experience with big data technologies.
