Job Description
FanDuel is excited to announce an opening for an enthusiastic and meticulous Work from Home People Operations Specialist to join our highly collaborative HR team, based remotely in Edinburgh, Scotland. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in curating and ensuring a seamless, positive, and compliant employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. You will serve as the dedicated go-to professional for all People Operations matters, spanning from welcoming new hires through comprehensive onboarding processes, to providing robust support for existing team members with their queries, and managing efficient offboarding procedures. You will collaborate closely with various departments across the organization, leveraging advanced HRIS systems and other sophisticated tools to maintain impeccably accurate employee records, generate insightful reports, and contribute significantly to the continuous improvement and optimization of our People Operations functions. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including meticulous onboarding, efficient offboarding, smooth transfers, and well-executed promotions for remote employees primarily based in Edinburgh and the wider UK.
 - Act as the primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing accurate, timely, and empathetic information on company policies, benefit programs, and HR processes.
 - Maintain and consistently update employee data within our HRIS (e.g., Workday) with unwavering accuracy, ensuring strict data integrity and compliance with regulations.
 - Administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, coordinating effectively with third-party providers and assisting employees with enrollment, claims, and general inquiries.
 - Assist in the development, implementation, and clear communication of HR policies and procedures, ensuring full adherence to all relevant UK employment legislation and internal guidelines.
 - Support a variety of HR projects and strategic initiatives aimed at significantly enhancing employee experience, fostering engagement, and improving operational efficiency.
 - Generate insightful HR reports and analytics to support data-driven decision-making and identify emerging trends within the workforce.
 - Ensure strict compliance with all relevant employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal company policies.
 - Actively contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive, and highly engaging remote work culture that supports employee wellbeing and productivity.
 
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2-3 years of dedicated experience in an HR or People Operations role, ideally within a fast-paced, technology-driven or rapidly scaling environment.
 - Demonstrated experience successfully supporting employees within a remote or hybrid work model.
 - Strong understanding and practical application of UK employment law and contemporary HR best practices.
 - Proficiency with modern HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, SAP HR) and advanced skills in Google Workspace/Microsoft Office Suite.
 - Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly, concisely, and empathetically.
 - Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
 - Proactive problem-solver with a strong customer service orientation and a commitment to positive employee experiences.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
 - CIPD qualification (Level 3 or higher) or an equivalent professional HR certification.
 - Experience working within a large, global, or multi-national organization.
 - Familiarity with the dynamic gaming, tech, or entertainment industry.
 - Demonstrated experience with HR data analytics and reporting tools beyond basic spreadsheet functions.
