At The Residence Zanzibar, we believe in offering our guests a holistic journey of relaxation and rejuvenation, and yoga plays a crucial role in this philosophy. As our Yoga Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for leading engaging and inspiring yoga classes for guests of all skill levels, from beginners seeking gentle stretches to experienced practitioners desiring advanced flows. You will curate a serene and invigorating practice environment, often set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Indian Ocean or within our tranquil garden pavilions.

Your role extends beyond simply leading sessions; you will be an ambassador for wellness, fostering a sense of calm, mindfulness, and physical well-being among our diverse international clientele. This involves adapting your teaching style to meet individual needs, providing clear instructions, and ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for all participants. You will offer a variety of yoga styles, potentially including Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin, depending on guest preferences and your expertise, ensuring a varied and enriching schedule that caters to different aspirations and energy levels. You will also be expected to offer modifications and advancements for poses, making classes accessible and challenging for everyone.

This position requires someone with a deep understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and alignment, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with guests on a personal level. You will collaborate closely with our Spa and Wellness Manager and the wider wellness team to schedule classes, promote our offerings, and potentially develop new programs or workshops that enhance the overall guest experience. We are looking for an individual who is not only a skilled instructor but also a warm, approachable, and professional presence, dedicated to enhancing the guest experience through the transformative power of yoga. This is an incredible opportunity to share your passion in one of the world’s most beautiful and serene locations, contributing to the ultimate relaxation and fitness goals of our discerning guests and reinforcing our reputation for luxury and holistic wellbeing.
