Career.zycto is actively seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Event Setup Assistant to join our growing team in Dutse, Abuja. As an Event Setup Assistant, you will work closely with our Event Coordinators and production teams, providing essential support in all physical aspects of event preparation and breakdown. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of event equipment, décor, furniture, and materials to and from event venues.
  • Execute the precise setup and arrangement of event spaces according to floor plans and design specifications.
  • Install and dismantle staging, lighting, sound equipment, tables, chairs, linens, and other event essentials.
  • Perform general physical labor and manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and positioning heavy items safely.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of event areas before, during, and after events.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and operational procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Support Event Coordinators and team members with on-site needs, problem-solving, and last-minute adjustments.
  • Conduct quality checks on all setups to ensure accuracy, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Assist with inventory management, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and returned to storage in good condition.
  • Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times, maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.

  • Familiarity with various event equipment and décor items.
  • A valid driver's license (preferably with experience driving vans or small trucks).
