Key Responsibilities
- Translate a variety of documents and content types accurately and fluently between specified language pairs.
- Ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and stylistic consistency in all translations.
- Conduct thorough research and use reference materials, glossaries, and style guides to maintain high quality.
- Review and edit own work and potentially the work of other translators to ensure precision and adherence to project requirements.
- Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Communicate proactively with project managers regarding project status, challenges, or queries.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security for all client-related information and documents.
- Utilize translation memory (TM) and terminology management (TMS) tools efficiently when required.
Required Skills
- Native-level proficiency in at least one target language and fluent proficiency in at least one source language.
- Proven expertise in translation, localization, and cultural adaptation.
- Exceptional written communication skills and impeccable grammar in all working languages.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, error-free work.
- Proficiency with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast).
- Ability to conduct thorough linguistic research and utilize reference materials effectively.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines consistently.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable remote work setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized translation association (e.g., ATA, ITI).
- Specialization in specific industries such as legal, medical, technical, marketing, or finance.
- Experience with machine translation post-editing (MTPE).
- Familiarity with various content management systems (CMS).
