Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's overall business objectives and talent strategy.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, compliance training, and professional growth initiatives.
- Oversee the full training lifecycle, from conducting needs assessments and curriculum design to program evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and programs deliver maximum ROI.
- Build and lead a high-performing L&D team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional growth.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to identify critical skill gaps and future talent needs, proposing proactive learning solutions.
- Implement and leverage learning technologies (LMS, e-learning platforms) to enhance accessibility, engagement, and efficiency of learning programs.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for L&D initiatives, providing regular reports on program effectiveness and impact on business results.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning throughout the organization, promoting self-directed learning and knowledge sharing.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and talent development trends to ensure Career.zycto's L&D function remains cutting-edge.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in designing and implementing strategic Learning & Development programs in a corporate environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop L&D professionals.
- Expertise in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and various learning methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within established timelines and budgets.
- Proficiency in leveraging Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other e-learning technologies.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with change management principles and their application in organizational learning initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development), SHRM-CP/SCP, or equivalent.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic industry or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with the socio-economic and educational landscape of Zimbabwe or similar emerging markets.
- Experience with global or regional talent development initiatives.
