As our Artist Relations Manager, you will be the vital link between our artists and various internal departments, including A&R, marketing, legal, and finance. Your daily work will involve comprehensive artist management, from coordinating recording schedules and promotional activities to navigating contractual obligations and resolving day-to-day challenges. You will work closely with artists to understand their goals, provide timely feedback, and collaborate on effective strategies for album releases, touring, and brand development. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for all assigned artists, building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Act as an internal advocate for artists, ensuring their needs and concerns are communicated effectively to relevant departments.
  • Coordinate and manage artist schedules, including recording sessions, promotional appearances, interviews, photoshoots, and live performances.
  • Collaborate closely with A&R on artist development, talent scouting, and project management.
  • Work with marketing and publicity teams to develop and execute comprehensive release campaigns and promotional strategies.
  • Assist artists with contractual understanding, royalty statements, and financial inquiries, liaising with legal and finance departments.
  • Monitor artist activity, press, social media, and industry trends to provide insights and strategic advice.
  • Facilitate communication between artists and third-party partners (e.g., booking agents, managers, publicists).
  • Resolve artist-related issues and challenges promptly and professionally, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Represent Career.zycto and its artists at industry events, concerts, and conferences.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in artist relations, talent management, or a similar role within the music industry (record label, management company, booking agency).
  • Profound understanding of the music industry ecosystem, including A&R, marketing, distribution, and legal aspects.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken) is essential, given the location.
  • Deep passion for music across various genres and a genuine interest in artist development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Arts Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Existing network within the Canadian music industry, especially in Quebec.
  • Experience with music software and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies for artists and social media platforms.
