Key Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with cutting, shaping, and assembling wooden components.
- Measure, cut, and sand wood according to specifications and instructions.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, including sweeping, tidying, and tool storage.
- Operate basic woodworking tools and machinery under supervision (e.g., sanders, drills, saws).
- Prepare and set up work areas for various carpentry projects.
- Apply finishes, sealants, or adhesives as instructed.
- Perform general labour tasks as required to support workshop operations.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic understanding of measurements and ability to use measuring tape accurately.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
