Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement initiatives within Manicaland Province, Zimbabwe. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing comprehensive learning and development strategies that align with our strategic objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto’s business objectives and talent management goals.
- Design, develop, and deliver innovative learning programs, workshops, and resources across various modalities (e.g., e-learning, blended learning, in-person training).
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps, training requirements, and emerging talent development needs within the organization.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of L&D initiatives, from concept and design to implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Manage and mentor a team of L&D professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality program delivery.
- Partner with senior leadership and HR business partners to integrate L&D programs into broader talent management, performance management, and succession planning frameworks.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives using key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Research and recommend new learning technologies, methodologies, and best practices to enhance the employee learning experience.
- Manage the L&D budget, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale learning and development programs.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and modern L&D technologies.
