Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently perform window cleaning tasks on various building types, including high-rise structures, using appropriate access methods (e.g., abseiling, cradle systems, water-fed poles, cherry pickers).
- Inspect and prepare work areas, ensuring all equipment is in excellent working order and safety protocols are meticulously followed.
- Erect and dismantle access equipment safely, including ladders, scaffolding, and harness systems, as required.
- Adhere strictly to all company health and safety policies, risk assessments, and method statements, especially when working at height.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and site management to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and tools, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including daily reports, safety checklists, and equipment logs.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, adapting techniques and safety measures as needed.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and streak-free finish on all glass surfaces.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in commercial window cleaning, with significant experience in high-rise or challenging access environments.
- Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of various high-access techniques (e.g., abseiling/rope access IRATA certification, MEWP operator license, or relevant cradle system training).
- Strong understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations for working at height.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to perform demanding manual tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association).
- IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) PAL Card for operating MEWPs.
- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
