Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll accurately and timely for internal employees.
- Collect, verify, and input employee timesheets and other payroll-related data.
- Calculate wages, deductions, taxes, and social security contributions in compliance with German regulations.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of payroll reports and tax filings.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits with professionalism and discretion.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and update employee information as required.
- Support year-end payroll processing and audit preparations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Payroll Assistant or in a similar role (minimum 2 years).
- Solid understanding of German payroll legislation, tax laws, and social security regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., DATEV, SAP HR, or similar ERP systems).
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Fluent in German (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant vocational training or a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Human Resources.
