Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise, verifying quantities against purchase orders.
- Efficiently sort, organize, and stock shelves and storage areas according to company standards and planograms.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom and sales floor environment during the night shift.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor, including ticketing, sizing, and security tagging.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all nightly stocking goals are met.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Identify and report any damaged or defective products.
Required Skills
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy merchandise (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Experience operating manual pallet jacks or similar equipment.
