Key Responsibilities
- Perform tire installations, rotations, balancing, and repairs on various vehicle types (passenger cars, light trucks, SUVs).
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and pressure, and recommend appropriate services to customers.
- Operate tire mounting and balancing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct wheel alignments and ensure proper vehicle handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle needs and service recommendations.
- Assist with inventory management of tires and related automotive parts.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new tire technologies and service techniques.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Tire Technician or in a related automotive role.
- Proficiency in tire mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with various tire types and vehicle specifications.
- Ability to operate tire service equipment, including balancers, changers, and alignment machines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- ASE certification (e.g., A4 – Suspension & Steering, or G1 – Auto Maintenance & Light Repair).
- Experience with advanced diagnostic tools for tire and wheel issues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
