Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, surgical, and preventative care.
- Prepare treatment rooms, set up instruments, and ensure all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, adhering strictly to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Greet and prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as instructed by the dentist, ensuring proper positioning and minimal exposure.
- Provide patients with comprehensive post-operative instructions and education on optimal oral hygiene practices.
- Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and assist with administrative tasks as needed, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Monitor and maintain dental supplies and inventory, ensuring efficient stock levels and timely reordering.
- Perform general office duties such as answering phones, filing, and managing correspondence to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional reception and waiting area, contributing to a welcoming patient experience.
Required Skills
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental office setting.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, instruments, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient empathy.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
- Ability to multitask effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping, scheduling, and general office software.
Preferred Qualifications

- Current CPR certification and knowledge of emergency protocols.
- Radiology certification or demonstrated proficiency in dental radiography.
