Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in College Grove, Hutchinson. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the full lifecycle of complex engineering projects, from initial conception and design through to execution, commissioning, and closeout. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, all while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. As a Project Engineer, you will be the central point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and external vendors to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare regular project status reports, presentations, and financial forecasts for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor work progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information flow among all project participants.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Industrial preferred)
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in project engineering or project management roles.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycle methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
