Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough multi-point inspections on various types of vehicles (cars, vans, light commercial vehicles).
- Perform diagnostic checks using specialized equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and structural faults.
- Document inspection findings accurately and comprehensively, including photographic evidence where necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining vehicle condition, recommended repairs, and compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate inspection results clearly to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, industry regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and properly care for inspection tools and equipment.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, inspection techniques, and regulatory changes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Inspector, Mechanic, or related automotive technician role.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and diagnostic procedures.
- Familiarity with UK vehicle safety regulations and inspection standards (or a strong willingness to learn).
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and inspection equipment.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
