Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe and efficient operation of the ferry under the direction of senior crew members.
- Participate actively in the loading and unloading of vehicles and passengers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine safety checks and perform basic maintenance tasks on vessel equipment and systems.
- Monitor vessel conditions and report any anomalies, malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment throughout the vessel.
- Adhere strictly to all maritime regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Provide clear and courteous assistance to passengers, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive travel experience.

Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to obtain relevant Transport Canada maritime certifications (e.g., Marine Emergency Duties, Bridge Watch Rating, or equivalent) within a specified timeframe.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to safety.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with crew and passengers.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working irregular shifts in varying weather conditions.

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug screening.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
