Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify, research, and cultivate relationships with new and existing individual donors, corporate partners, trusts, and foundations.
  • Write compelling grant proposals, applications, and reports to secure funding from various sources.
  • Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals to engage supporters.
  • Manage and maintain a donor database (CRM) to track interactions, donations, and communication.
  • Oversee fundraising budget development, monitoring, and reporting to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, charity law, and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create engaging fundraising materials.
  • Analyze fundraising performance data and adapt strategies to maximize effectiveness and reach.
  • Represent the organization at external events, networking opportunities, and stakeholder meetings.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Fundraising Manager or similar senior fundraising role (minimum 4 years).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with a flair for storytelling.
  • Demonstrable success in securing significant funds from diverse income streams (grants, corporates, individuals).
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) for donor management.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and report on fundraising performance.
  • Networking and relationship-building expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Non-profit Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Prior experience in supervising or mentoring junior fundraising staff.
