Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Bid Manager to join our growing team in Monroe, Louisiana. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in driving our business growth by leading the entire bid lifecycle, from initial opportunity identification through to proposal submission and negotiation. You will be responsible for crafting compelling and compliant proposals that clearly articulate our value proposition, differentiate us from competitors, and secure new contracts.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex procurement processes, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record of successful bid wins. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical experts, legal, and finance, to gather information, define solutions, and develop persuasive content. This position requires a proactive leader who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We are looking for someone with an eagle eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and superb communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end bid management process, from qualification to submission and post-bid activities.
  • Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), and other solicitation documents to identify key requirements and develop winning strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, technical, legal, finance) to gather information, define solutions, and create comprehensive and competitive proposals.
  • Develop and maintain a bid plan, schedule, and compliance matrix, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Write, edit, and review proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with client needs and company messaging.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for each bid opportunity.
  • Facilitate bid review meetings and integrate feedback to refine proposals.
  • Manage and maintain a library of bid resources, templates, and boilerplate content.
  • Track bid performance, analyze success rates, and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in bid management, proposal writing, or sales support within a B2B environment.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex bids concurrently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on persuasive writing and presentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM or proposal management software.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification.
