Key Responsibilities
- Perform various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and MMA, on a range of materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout, dimensions, and procedures.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, selecting appropriate tools, electrodes, and gases.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, structural integrity, and adherence to specifications, using various testing methods.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components according to project requirements.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Identify and resolve issues related to welding processes and material defects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication and structural assembly.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of various metal types and their welding properties.

Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Welding and Fabrication.

- Basic knowledge of British welding standards (e.g., BS EN ISO 9606).
