Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Janitorial Night Support in the Heart Lake area of Brampton. This is an immediate hire opportunity for those who thrive in a fast-paced night environment and are committed to maintaining immaculate spaces. As a crucial member of our night crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring our client’s facility is clean, safe, and welcoming for the next day’s operations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, including sinks, toilets, and fixtures, ensuring they meet health standards.
- Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins, and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors, removing smudges and streaks.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap in designated areas.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying supervisors of needs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during shifts to management promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven reliability and punctuality, especially for night shifts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Effective communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning roles (6+ months).
- Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) regulations.
- Ability to adapt to changing cleaning schedules and priorities.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (asset but not required).
