Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Estimator to join our dynamic team in White Rock, Gorham. As an Entry Level Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project management and sales teams by assisting in the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects. Working closely with senior estimators and project managers, you will learn to interpret project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to identify scope and requirements. You will be instrumental in gathering and analyzing data related to labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Estimators in preparing detailed cost estimates for projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Review and interpret project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope.
- Gather and organize historical cost data for use in future estimates.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
- Perform quantity take-offs and compile data for estimate summaries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all estimates and related documentation.
- Support the project team in analyzing cost variances and identifying potential risks or opportunities.
- Participate in project hand-off meetings, ensuring a smooth transition from estimating to project execution.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
