Job Description
Are you passionate about pristine vehicles and meticulous about presentation? Lookers Ford Enfield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Vehicle Cleaner to join our dynamic team. This essential role ensures that every vehicle, whether new, used, or serviced, is presented to the highest possible standard, reflecting the quality and care synonymous with the Lookers brand. You will play a crucial part in our customer journey, ensuring that the first impression of a vehicle is one of immaculate condition and superior cleanliness. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning of vehicles, including washing, waxing, polishing, and buffing.
- Vacuum, shampoo, and detail vehicle interiors, including upholstery, carpets, dashboards, and door panels.
- Clean and treat wheels, tires, and exterior trim to restore their original finish.
- Inspect vehicles for any remaining dirt, smudges, or imperfections, ensuring a spotless presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cleaning bay and equipment.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals.
- Report any vehicle damage or defects discovered during the cleaning process to the appropriate team member.
- Assist with moving vehicles safely within the dealership premises as required.
Required Skills
- Proven attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
- Ability to work efficiently and meticulously in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform duties involving standing, bending, and lifting.
- Basic understanding of different cleaning products and their appropriate use.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential for moving vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in vehicle valeting or detailing within an automotive environment.
- Knowledge of advanced cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Familiarity with COSHH regulations regarding cleaning chemicals.
