Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of audio equipment and software.
  • Record, mix, and master audio for various productions including music, podcasts, and film.
  • Set up, calibrate, and tear down sound systems for live events and studio sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, artists, directors, and other creative team members.
  • Perform sound design and create immersive auditory experiences.
  • Ensure high-quality audio output that meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Manage and organize sound libraries, archives, and project files.
  • Stay updated with new audio technologies, trends, and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
  • Strong understanding of acoustics, signal flow, and audio engineering principles.
  • Extensive experience with various types of microphones, preamps, and recording techniques.
  • Demonstrable expertise in audio mixing and mastering processes.
  • Experience in live sound engineering, including front-of-house (FOH) and monitor mixing.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for audio hardware and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a critical ear for sound quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., Avid Pro Tools User/Operator, Dante Level 2/3).
  • Experience with large-format mixing consoles (e.g., SSL, Neve, Avid Venue).
  • Knowledge of audio post-production for video and film.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing previous sound engineering work across diverse projects.
