As our Compliance Manager, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and meticulously overseeing robust compliance programs across our organization. Your primary mission will be to ensure strict adherence to all relevant local, national, and, where applicable, international laws, regulations, and internal policies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies.
- Monitor and interpret new and updated regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on the organization.
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs to staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and investigations.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely compliance reports to regulatory bodies and senior management.
- Manage internal and external compliance audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Advise management on compliance matters, risk mitigation strategies, and best practices.
- Foster a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organization.
- Support international employees with compliance-related aspects of their relocation and work permits.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (5+ years) in compliance management, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian regulatory frameworks (e.g., labour law, privacy, corporate governance).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex information.
- Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory documents and translate them into actionable policies.
- High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and discretion.
- Proficiency in compliance software and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant compliance certifications (e.g., CCO, CAMS, CRCM).
- Experience working with diverse international teams or in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly those relevant to international talent pools.
- Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD).
