Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and thorough Custodian to join our team for immediate hire in the prestigious Downtown Bel Air area. This full-time position is crucial to maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall excellent condition of our facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces in offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors, ensuring high standards of hygiene.
- Empty waste bins and transport trash and waste to disposal areas, adhering to recycling protocols.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and interior partitions.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms and kitchenettes.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage to property to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with minor repairs or setup/takedown for events as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a custodian, janitor, or in a similar cleaning role.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and ability to use them safely.
- Familiarity with various cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform physical tasks (e.g., lifting, bending, standing for extended periods).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
