Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and create original textile designs, prints, patterns, and weaves across various product categories.
- Develop detailed design specifications, including color matching, material choices, and repeat information, suitable for production.
- Utilize industry-standard design software to prepare production-ready digital files and technical packages.
- Collaborate closely with product development, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure design integrity and feasibility.
- Conduct comprehensive research on emerging market trends, fashion forecasts, consumer preferences, and sustainable textile innovations.
- Manage multiple design projects from initial concept generation through to final sample approval, adhering to timelines and quality standards.
- Present design concepts and proposals to internal stakeholders, effectively communicating the vision and technical aspects.
- Maintain an organized library of textile samples, color standards, and design archives.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for textile design.
- Strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes, including weaving, knitting, printing, and dyeing techniques.
- Exceptional color theory knowledge, pattern development skills, and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to translate creative concepts into precise technical specifications for production.
- A compelling professional portfolio showcasing diverse textile design capabilities and artistic range.
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional, hands-on experience in textile design within a relevant industry.
