Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and dusting surfaces in classrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms thoroughly, ensuring adequate supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels) are always stocked.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish safely and hygienically.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages observed to the appropriate staff.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and school policies, particularly regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as buffing floors, cleaning carpets, and washing walls.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained, stored, and used safely.
- Assist with setting up and tidying areas for school events or activities as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles, preferably within an institutional setting.
- Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures meticulously.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized with an excellent work ethic.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and bending.
