Career.zycto is actively seeking a dynamic and highly skilled DJ to join our roster of talent for a variety of corporate events in the Diamond District, Lynn, and surrounding areas. This is an exciting contract opportunity for an individual passionate about music, crowd engagement, and delivering exceptional sonic experiences. As a Corporate Events DJ, you will be the maestro of atmosphere, responsible for setting the perfect tone for product launches, holiday parties, galas, conferences, and team-building events. We partner with a diverse range of clients, meaning no two events are ever truly the same. You’ll have the creative freedom to curate playlists that align with specific client briefs, ensuring the music seamlessly enhances the event’s objectives and theme.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand their vision, musical preferences, and event objectives.
- Curate diverse and appropriate music playlists for a wide range of corporate event types and demographics.
- Operate and troubleshoot professional DJ equipment, sound systems, and lighting rigs with proficiency.
- Maintain a vast and current music library across various genres, suitable for corporate audiences.
- Manage event timelines and ensure smooth transitions between musical segments, announcements, and presentations.
- Engage with guests professionally and maintain a positive, energetic presence.
- Provide clear and concise communication with clients and the Career.zycto team before, during, and after events.
- Adhere to all event specific guidelines, venue rules, and safety protocols.
- Transport, set up, and break down all necessary DJ equipment efficiently and punctually.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional DJ experience, specifically in corporate or private events.
- Extensive music knowledge across various genres (pop, rock, R&B, jazz, electronic, oldies, etc.).
- Proficiency with industry-standard DJ software (e.g., Serato DJ, Rekordbox, Virtual DJ) and hardware.
- Excellent active listening and adaptability skills to read and respond to crowd energy.
- Strong technical aptitude for audio equipment setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to transport own professional-grade DJ equipment.
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Portfolio or demo reels showcasing past event performances.
- Experience with basic lighting control systems and event production.
- Ability to offer MC services or make professional announcements.
- Strong local network and understanding of the Lynn and Greater Boston event scene.
