Job Description
Embark on a rewarding journey into the heart of healthcare as a Medical Scribe at Career.zycto, located in the vibrant West Main Hill area of Kalamazoo. This unique opportunity is perfect for highly motivated individuals eager to gain direct clinical experience, particularly those considering a future in medicine, nursing, or physician assistant programs. No prior experience is required – we believe in nurturing potential and providing comprehensive training to ensure your success.
As a Medical Scribe, you will serve as an integral part of our clinical team, working directly alongside physicians and other healthcare providers. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently document patient encounters in real-time within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This includes capturing detailed histories, physical exam findings, assessment and plan, lab results, imaging findings, and other relevant clinical information. You will essentially be the physician’s personal assistant for medical documentation, allowing them to focus entirely on patient care.
This role offers an unparalleled chance to immerse yourself in the fast-paced medical environment. You will learn medical terminology, observe various medical conditions, understand diagnostic processes, and witness treatment strategies firsthand. Beyond documentation, you will assist in navigating the EHR, retrieving relevant patient data, and ensuring all necessary information is present for the physician. Accuracy, speed, and a keen eye for detail are paramount in this position, as the quality of your documentation directly impacts patient safety, billing, and continuity of care.
Career.zycto is dedicated to your professional development. Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel, covering medical terminology, anatomical concepts, clinical workflows, and proficient use of our EHR system. We value dedication, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn. If you’re passionate about healthcare and ready to make a significant impact from day one, even without prior experience, we encourage you to apply and join our collaborative and supportive team in West Main Hill, Kalamazoo.
