You will lead the charge in developing and implementing comprehensive community engagement strategies across various social media platforms, forums, and other digital channels. Your day-to-day will involve everything from content scheduling and moderation to proactive outreach and sentiment analysis. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, content, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive brand message and an exceptional user experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive online community engagement strategies.
  • Monitor, moderate, and respond to community discussions and messages professionally.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content to foster interaction.
  • Identify and cultivate key community advocates and influencers.
  • Track, analyze, and report on community growth and engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for consistent messaging and brand voice.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in community management.
  • Proactively identify potential issues/crises and escalate as needed.
  • Organize and execute online events to boost engagement.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in community management, social media management, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.) and online forums.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights from community metrics.
  • Experience with social media management and analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and grow online communities.
  • Strong empathy, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse client portfolios or agency experience.
  • Familiarity with community management software and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and content marketing.
  • Ability to speak Swahili in addition to English.
  • Experience creating visual content (e.g., basic graphic design, video editing).
