Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using manual methods or appropriate material handling equipment.
- Verify product counts against shipping and receiving documents to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies immediately.
- Sort, organize, and stack materials according to warehouse procedures and safety guidelines.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and proficiently (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage, noting and reporting any issues.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth and timely operations.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned to support overall operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven physical stamina and ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout an entire shift.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate product handling and count verification.
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- High level of reliability and punctuality, especially for night shift schedules.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and commitment to following them.
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (e.g., 6 months to 1 year) in a warehouse, logistics, loading/unloading, or general labor role.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating pallet jacks/other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
