We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious individual who takes pride in operating specialized heavy equipment and contributing to the successful completion of diverse construction ventures. As a Concrete Mixer Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of ready-mix concrete from our batch plant to various job sites. This role demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensure proper load securement, maintain accurate delivery logs, and interact professionally with site supervisors and construction crews. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to transport materials to various construction sites.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload concrete in compliance with safety standards and job site specifications.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery tickets, and inspection reports.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the concrete mixer truck and associated equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, batch plant operators, and construction site personnel.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as washing the truck, checking fluid levels, and greasing components.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support fleet and batch plant operations.
Required Skills
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with air brake endorsement.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major infractions.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to climb, lift, push, pull, and maneuver heavy equipment components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a ready-mix concrete truck.
- Knowledge of the Gunbarrel/Boulder area road network.
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
- High School Diploma or GED.
