Job Description

Join Career.zycto as a dedicated Concrete Mixer Driver and become an integral part of our heavy fleet operations, delivering essential materials for construction projects across the Gunbarrel and greater Boulder area. We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious individual who takes pride in operating specialized heavy equipment and contributing to the successful completion of diverse construction ventures. As a Concrete Mixer Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of ready-mix concrete from our batch plant to various job sites. This role demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensure proper load securement, maintain accurate delivery logs, and interact professionally with site supervisors and construction crews. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to transport materials to various construction sites.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Load and unload concrete in compliance with safety standards and job site specifications.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery tickets, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the concrete mixer truck and associated equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, batch plant operators, and construction site personnel.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks such as washing the truck, checking fluid levels, and greasing components.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support fleet and batch plant operations.

Required Skills

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with air brake endorsement.
  • Clean driving record (MVR) with no major infractions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
  • Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
  • Physical ability to climb, lift, push, pull, and maneuver heavy equipment components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating a ready-mix concrete truck.
  • Knowledge of the Gunbarrel/Boulder area road network.
  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
