Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our client’s dynamic team in Dorval, Montreal. As a Warehouse Equipment Operator, you will be an integral part of our daily operations, ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods within a state-of-the-art facility. Your expertise in operating various material handling equipment (MHE), including but not limited to forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers, will be crucial for maintaining productivity, optimizing warehouse space, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve more than just operating machinery. You will be actively involved in the entire logistical flow: meticulously receiving incoming shipments, carefully inspecting materials for any damage or discrepancies, and accurately documenting all inventory movements using our systems. Moving goods to designated storage areas with maximum efficiency, executing precise order picking for outbound shipments according to strict timelines, and securely loading and unloading trucks will be core tasks. We prioritize a spotless and safe working environment above all else; therefore, conducting daily safety checks on your assigned equipment, performing routine minor maintenance, and adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures will be paramount. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various material handling equipment (MHE) including forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval.
- Perform order picking and packing duties with precision and speed.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet daily targets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating various material handling equipment (MHE).
- Valid certification for operating forklifts and/or reach trucks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and RF devices.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
