Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care for children, fostering their physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Plan and engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, games, and outdoor play.
- Prepare healthy and balanced meals and snacks for children, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Assist children with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, hygiene, and bedtime.
- Supervise children during playtime, outings, and educational activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Assist with homework and school projects, encouraging a love for learning.
- Maintain a tidy and organized play area and children's rooms.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Manage children's schedules, including school, extracurricular activities, and appointments.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and adhere to health and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in childcare, ideally with references.
- Strong understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (French is an asset).
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
- Ability to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
