Key Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks on the production line, including trimming, cutting, weighing, and packaging poultry products.
- Operate processing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently after receiving proper training.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including HACCP and food safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, participating in regular sanitation procedures.
- Monitor product quality and identify any non-conforming items, reporting issues to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets and ensure efficient workflow.
- Lift and move raw materials and finished products, requiring physical stamina and capability.
- Follow supervisors' instructions and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, repetitive, and sometimes cold or humid environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) regularly.
- Reliability and excellent attendance record.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to learn.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food processing plant or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in French is an asset.
