Key Responsibilities
- Assist producers and audio engineers with the setup and breakdown of recording sessions, including microphone placement and instrument preparation.
- Organize, label, and manage audio files, project folders, and session documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
- Perform basic studio maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored.
- Operate digital audio workstation (DAW) software under direct supervision, assisting with recording, editing, and mixing tasks.
- Provide technical support for studio hardware and software, including troubleshooting minor issues.
- Prepare studio for client arrivals, including refreshments and ensuring a comfortable environment.
- Learn and apply fundamental audio engineering and music production techniques.
- Assist with vocal tuning, beat editing, sound design, and other post-production tasks as directed.
- Run errands as needed to support production logistics, such as picking up equipment or supplies.
- Maintain accurate session logs, track changes, and ensure version control for all projects.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable passion for music, sound, and audio production.
- Basic proficiency with at least one major Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, or FL Studio.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
