Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and mealtimes.
- Administer or prompt medication in accordance with care plans and company policies, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Engage residents in meaningful social and recreational activities, encouraging participation and promoting mental and physical well-being.
- Monitor and record residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, their families, and colleagues, fostering a respectful and supportive environment.
- Assist with light domestic duties to ensure a clean, tidy, and safe living environment for residents.
Required Skills
- Genuine passion for caring for the elderly and vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dedicated team.
- Basic IT literacy for record-keeping and communication.
- Understanding of the importance of dignity, respect, and confidentiality in care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a residential care setting or similar care role.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or working towards one.
