Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum (CBC).
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development and academic performance.
- Integrate technology effectively into daily lessons to enhance learning experiences.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration to enhance educational outcomes.
- Maintain accurate student records and reports.
Required Skills
- P1 or ECDE Certificate/Diploma in Primary Education (or equivalent recognized teaching qualification).
- Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and modern pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with educational software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education.
- Experience with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) in Kenya.
- Specialization in specific primary subjects (e.g., Mathematics, Science, ICT).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Participation in relevant educational workshops or training programs.
