Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods according to recipes and standards.
- Execute decorative finishes and presentations for all pastry items, ensuring visual appeal.
- Manage and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pastry station at all times.
- Monitor inventory of pastry ingredients, assist with ordering, and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations and kitchen operational procedures.
- Assist with prep work for other kitchen sections as needed, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Ensure consistent quality and portion control in all pastry production.
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, as required by the kitchen's needs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or Baker in a professional kitchen setting.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functionality, and pastry preparation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and artistic flair for presentation.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (HACCP preferred).
